About

Hi, I’m Hannah, a CPA & owner of GTC Taxes and Bookkeeping, LLC. Since childhood, I always knew I wanted to be a mom. I wanted to get married, have babies, and make pot roasts on Sundays. I wanted to be home caring for my family each day and enjoying all of life’s little moments. And thanks be to God that I am getting to do those things.

When I started college, I knew I wanted to pursue a career that allowed flexibility. I was on a science track — but after a few painful lab classes (the centrifuge and I lacked chemistry), I realized it wasn’t for me. I switched to business, took my first accounting class, and knew I’d found the right fit. Even then, I thought, “This is a perfect career to have with a family.” It offered flexibility, stability, and the potential to work remotely or part-time.

So, I committed. I changed my major, dove deep into accounting, and set my sights on becoming a CPA.

After earning my bachelor’s degree, I completed my Master of Accountancy and passed the CPA exam. Within a year, I met the experience requirements and received my CPA license. I worked at a small public accounting firm, managing business financials from start to finish and preparing tax returns for both individuals and businesses.

Later, I returned to my alma mater — the University of Georgia — to teach accounting. That experience sharpened my communication skills and gave me the ability to explain complex topics in a way that’s simple and relatable.
